A&B update!

So Mr.Bright finally got around to correcting my research paper which I'm very happy about. I made the corrections on it and now my paper is totally completed. I recently started the pamphlet for my project and it's about half-way done. It's kind of stressful to make a pamphlet because the centering gets thrown off super easy then you have to edit it a thousand times, not literally. In my pamphlet I'm putting main points about both Anorexia and Bulimia, where you can go to get help, a bibliography page to show where i got certain information and pictures, and celebrities who have battle and/or dies from these evil disorders. My interview is typed out and completed. I interviewed Anita Johnston who works at the Anorexia and Bulimia health center here on O'ahu. For the most part she was very helpful, she just couldn't give me the Hawaiian statistics because they don't record that type of information, I'm not sure why though. I have enjoyed doing this project because it's taught me so much about a subject that didn't seem so big or drastic. Most people think it's no big deal but it is. Im not sure when my post eval is but hopefully soon. Im shooting for next week, I think.

Vlogs/Blogosphere

Vlogs: Vlogs or vlogging is short for video blogging. It's when you attach a video to RSS and atom enclosures. Most vlogs are home grown and experimental. Many people record their everyday lives, cooking lessons, family events such as graduation. The best know vlog is "rocketboom" it's like a daily news program.

Blogosphere: If you've ever visited a blog you've entered blogosphere. It's a term used to describe millions of interconnected blogs on the internet. It's an online journal. Individuals use it, corporations record activities, thoughts, and beliefs. Some even use it as a news fliter. You can find many blogs on one subject because they're all connected. "Blogosphere" was first used as a joke in the late 1999 but was continuously used.

Anorexia and bulimia

Right now im trying to finish up my project. I just got my interview and that was the main thing I was waiting for to complete it. Im kind of stuck still though because i've been trying super hard to find the Hawaii statistics and they don't document that stuff so i might have to carry on with my project without that info. I'm really concerned that i won't get the full credit I asked for because of this bump in the road. I'm asking for 1.5 credit so hopefully my eval team will see and understand that I searched high and low to find the Maoli connection for this project but it wasn't possible. Maybe I can get close to what i asked for at least. I have to do my pamphlet, blog, and a few minor things. I've been waiting patiently for Mr. Bright to finish correcting my rough draft so it can bring me one step closer to finishing. My goal is to be completely finished with my project before spring break. I'm still racking my brain over what to put in the blog for my project. Thats the biggest thing I have left to do. My project is well on it's way to being completed. I can't wait to finally wrap this up!

Blogging

I have never blogged before this is my first time. I'm in blogging class and I'm curious to see what I'll learn and what we'll do in this class. I am hoping I'll learn a lot because I'll be using what I learn to create a blog for my project. I predict we'll have fun and learn much that can help us in the future. Even though this class may be fun I don't like the fact that our blogs are public and anyone can view it.
